Our facility at Masterworks Sound Studios resides in south Boston, Massachusetts. Designed by Thomas Deyesso, the control room occupies 400 square feet and provides an audiophile-quality level of monitoring. A pair of JBL LSR4328P monitoring speakers sit atop custom built monitor stands filled with sand to allow for sonic decoupling. The digital environment is projected through a Dell widescreen monitor and a Samsung LCD HDTV wall mounted as to not interfere with the sound path between the audio source and listener. On top of the desk is a Mackie Control Universal Pro for digital mixing. A variety of DAW’s are used in the studio depending on the job and are all run by a Windows-based PC containing a dual-core 3.2 GHz Processor along with 2GB of ram – enough power to get any job done.

Head Engineer - Thomas Deyesso
Starting as a musician at the age of 10, Thomas Deyesso has been deeply involved with a variety of musical endeavors. Aside from musical proficiences in violin, guitar, bass guitar, and piano, Thomas has extensive experience composing classical works, programming electronic music, and performing in a number of bands. His audio engineering career began with his involvement in the popular rock band, After The Sirens, in 2003. Serving as co-producer and co-engineer to many songs written by said band, Thomas has developed a perspective often overlooked by many mastering engineers – that of the career musician. Having this experience and an interest in all musical genres in hand, Thomas possesses the understanding of how to attain the high quality a musician desires to achieve from his or her songs.
